Students are required to sketch the followings; (free hand sketches)
A. Body Parts / Figure / Nature
B. Object Projection
C. Geometric Projection
D. Your City – Projection(coloured or rendered)
E. One point Perspective of an area or areas in TUC
F. Two point Perspective of an area or areas in TUC
G. Details in TUC
H. Tracing a picture of a building* (rendering)
Objectives
1. To identify a personal and expressive response to visual simulation.
2. To apply basic principles and elements of design and drawing as a language to visualize and to
communicate ideas.
Learning Outcomes
1. Students will be able to recognize their potential for creativity, self-expression and visual awareness.
2. Identify the fundamental principles, elements and techniques in sketching, drawing, design process and
presentation skills.

After assignment 1, I have known the 4 basic techniques of rendering, which are hatching, cross hatching, scribbling and stippling. I have also identified the fundamental techniques in sketching, drawing, design process and presentation skills. Besides that, after learning perspective sketching, I am able to document things on cite and draw them accurately on the paper. Lastly, I heave learned how to apply basic principles and elements of design and drawing as a language to visualize and to communicate ideas.
Project Two: Orthographic Drawings & Diagrams (Individual)
Task
Project 2A
Students will be given a space of about 10mx15m (not more) in TUC whereby they will have to measure and observe the site. Students are required to produce the followings on A3 size papers of their choice
Project 2B
Students are required use the area from Project 2A to illustrate Bubble Diagrams and Diagrammatic Analysis. Students are required to produce the followings diagrams on A3 size papers of their choice.
Objectives
1.To apply basic principles and elements of design and drawing as a language to visualise and to communicate ideas.
2. To demonstrate observation and visualization skills in a variety of ways depending on the area of specialization being pursued with an emphasis on the process of drawing.
Learning Outcomes
1. Identify the fundamental principles, elements and techniques in sketching, drawing, design process and presentation skills.
2. Demonstrate observation skills and be able to record, organize, interpret and describe a variety of issues via visual communications effectively.
3. Manipulate variety of media and techniques to visualize ideas leading to a finish product
4. Apply drawing as a means of communication in order to express two dimensional and three dimensional ideas.

Through this project, I have learned how to demonstrate observation skills and being able to record, organize, interpret and describe a variety of issues via visual communications effectively. Also, I have manipulated a variety of media and techniques to visualize my ideas, such as using water colour. Next, I have expressed two dimensional and three dimensional ideas by applying drawing as a means of communication. Once again, I have identified the fundamental principles, elements and techniques in sketching, drawing, design process and presentation skills.
Project 3: Introduction to Site Analysis ( Group + Individual )
Task
Group
In groups students are required to execute and prepare the followings;
1. As a group, students are required to do a further observation of the site used in Project 2.
2. Students are required to prepare the following information;
a. Location
b. Site Context
c. Size, Zoning and Legal
d. Natural and Man Made Physical Features
e. Circulation
f. Utilities
h. Human, Culture and Activities
i. Climate
j. SWOT Analysis
Individual
Each group member should come up with a “case study” and propose and idea to show what would be suitable for site and to fit the Final Project requirements. Each group member should produce a case study on not more than 2 piece of A3 paper.
Objectives
1.To demonstrate observation and visualization skills in a variety of ways depending on the area of specialization being pursued with an emphasis on the process of drawing.
2. To develop confidence to use drawing as a means of communication to express two dimensional and three dimensional ideas.
Learning Outcomes
1. Demonstrate observation skills and be able to record, organize, interpret and describe a variety of issues via visual communications effectively.
2. Manipulate variety of media and techniques to visualize ideas leading to a finish product.

Reflection
After completing Project 3, I have demonstrated my observation skills to be a good observant and being able to record, organize, interpret and describe a variety of issues through visual communications effectively. Next, I have also manipulated a variety of media and techniques to visualize ideas leading to a finish product. Lastly, I have improved my group communication skills through the process of discussing and exchanging our ideas. After conducting the site analysis, I was able to find the solution to solve the problem in my site.
Final Project: Feature Wall Installation Design Proposal ( Individual )
Task
The task is for the students to propose a wall installation or a feature wall at the given site in Project 2 and Project 3. Through the site analysis study, students will then find a solution or ideas to create a suitable functional wall installation. Students will then prepare a presentation boards and models to express their ideas. Objectives
1. To demonstrate observation and visualization skills in a variety of ways depending on the area of specialization being pursued with an emphasis on the process of drawing.

Reflection
Through this assignment, I have demonstrated my observation skills and be able to record, organize, interpret and describe a variety of issues via visual communications effectively. Besides, I was able to manipulate variety of media and techniques to visualize ideas leading to a finish product, such as art block paper and water colour. I have applied all the drawing techniques I have learnt earlier in Assignment 1 & 2 and this final assignment showed that I have improved tremendously. I have also improved my presentation skills by using the appropriate way to present. Next, I realized I can know my design more after making my model. Hence, it helped me a lot with the perspective sketched. Finally, I found out tutorial sessions are very important as tutor will give us guidelines on the layout of presentation board so that we will always be on the right track.
Not all the time.. and especially not in degree.. they wont >>> " Finally, I found out tutorial sessions are very important as tutor will give us guidelines on the layout of presentation board so that we will always be on the right track." but the lecturers will advice and comments and give guidance about the project.
