One of the intended learning outcomes for the assignment was to demonstrate the ability to ‘read’ a television series, such as to understand and interpret the chosen television series genre. Besides, this assignment was intended to demonstrate the ability to compare or contrast, analyze and synthesize information from two television series in an essay and explain them clearly and logically as well as to communicate the relevant ideas in a clear, logical and appropriate academic English.
Through this module, I have demonstrated the ability to ‘read’ a television series by understanding and interpreting the television series genre I chose. Besides that, I have used the techniques that my lecturer taught me to compare/contrast, analyze and synthesize information from two television series in this essay and explained them clearly and logically. Lastly, I have also used suitable academic English and appropriate referencing method to communicate my ideas in this assignment.

Assignment 1 Part 2
The intended learning outcomes for this assignment were to demonstrate the ability to ‘read’ a painting based on the steps listed in the methodology section and also to demonstrate the ability to compare or contrast, analyze and synthesize information about the two chosen in a longer essay and explain them clearly and logically. Students were to communicate their ideas in a clear, logical and appropriate academic English.
In order to study a painting, I have applied the four “reading” process through this assignment, which are description, analysis, interpretation and judgment. Next, I have improved my communication skills by using appropriate academic English while discussing and exchanging ideas with my group mate. After completing this module, I found out that I am able to do research and write a well-organized argumentative essay with the correct format and referencing techniques. I realized that I can work well with my group mate although we have different views and opinions occasionally. Overall, it was quite interesting to go visit an art gallery with friend for the first time.

Assignment 2
The intended learning outcomes for this assignment were to identify the key issues in the question and explain them clearly and logically and also demonstrate the ability to prepare questionnaires and interviews to obtain information about the topic. It was also intended to demonstrate the ability to analyze and synthesize information and compile them in the report. Besides, it was intended to communicate the relevant ideas and analysis in clear, logical and appropriate academic English as well as to select and present information clearly and appropriately to one’s target audience.
Through this assignment, I have improved my analyzing, interpreting and data collection skills. I have also improved my communication skills by using proper academic English, especially interviewing the businessmen in Klang. Next, my presentation skill has improved tremendously as I know how to present information clearly and logically to my target audience. After completed this module, I have learned to identify speaker’s role, expression, relationship and attitude. I am able to listen and speak fluently in preparation for the tertiary programme.
